Digital Photography guide – a list of key terms Digital Photography – Part 2!

Welcome to another at this time that the time series of digital photography guide, which aims to provide easy to get to understand explanations of some common terms that photography. We hope this glossary will help if they came to a recent name for the first time, at least, will give you an idea of its meaning and use.

Backlighting – This is the effect occurs when a subject is illuminated by a primary source of light behind it. Typically, this effect throughespecially in the landscape, or nature shots. It can also be used in portraits, notably a more dramatic look to add the final image.

Continuous Capture Mode – This refers to the ability to create a series of photographs taken in rapid succession. Usually used when trying to send pictures of fast moving sports cars to capture, for example. If in continuous mode, the camera has a single press of the shutter button to fire several shots. Also known as "burst mode".

Card Reader -This is a device that you place the memory card of the camera (ie cards, stored the images you have). The reader is then plugged into the computer to begin downloading the images. The reader will be displayed on the computer as a separate line. The advantages of using a card reader includes speed (usually faster than downloading directly from camera to PC) and reliability (eg, a camera's battery died during the file transfer).

Composition – This refers toaccommodation of the main theme and supporting objects in a photographic scene. While there are no fixed rules for the principles of composition flexibility (as the rule of thirds), which can be used for harmony and structure for the final image brings.

Continuous Auto Focus – Many modern cameras have this feature, which automatically adjusts the focus while trying to create a moving photo subject. The camera does this to predict when this issue will soon be in conflict withwhere it is now. Nikon cameras are called continuous fire, and called Canon "AI Servo" (ie Artificial Intelligence).

Exhibition – In a simple way, the lighting is the amount of light allowed through the camera's sensor, thereby the brightness of the final image. The amount of light entering the aperture is determined, as the photographer can not be controlled.
